“Moonraker” turned out to be a big summer blockbuster for EON productions, and many tie-ins were produced for the film, from space shuttle models to a doll of Roger Moore as James Bond. In Spain a manufacturer known as FHER S.A. located in Bilbao issued a trading card set holding 180 different pictures.
In Spain the set was sold as cards with on the reverse some text explaining the picture in the front. In France the same cards were distributed by AGE, there was no text explaining the picture. In the Netherlands the cards were exchanged for stickers and distributed by VU or better known as Vanderhout Internationale Uitgaven B.V., again there was no explaining text on the reverse.
The pictures and the numbering was the same for all countries, all printing work was done in Spain by FHER.
A counter display box was good for one hundred packs, each pack contained six cards or stickers depending on the country, the bubblegum was lost during the space battle. When purchasing a whole counter display box, you were almost sure to get a complete set, although this was not guaranteed by the manufacturer, as it is today.

Box,
album and wrappers had a very simple design, Roger Moore as agent
007 dressed in a space suit and armed with a laser gun. The design
was very applicable with the movie. The stickers are quiet easy to collect, again you may find them
at local flea markets, movie fairs, eBay etc…..Album wise, this
one is harder to find, but they do pop-up, sometimes very cheaply,
I bought mine for only 2€ at a local flea market. Lucky me. Complete
boxes are getting harder to find day by day, expect a retail price
starting from 25€. The French and the Spanish cards are more expensive and harder to find, the same counts for their albums.

For the Netherlands and Belgium, the text
on the wrappers, box and album was bilingual, French and Dutch. This
smart marketing step from the manufacturer meant it was possible to
create a French album or a Dutch album.
It was a very simple and a smart invention to reach both the French
and the Dutch speaking parts of Belgium.
“Different Albums”
Each distributer sold an album to hold the 180 stickers or cards. In Spain the text was in Spanish, for France the text was in French and the Dutch album was bilingual (French and Dutch). For the Dutch speaking, you had to stick the sticker above the French text and vice versa for the French speaking people.

Inside the albums there was a special
form attached that could be used to order your missing stickers. The
price to order your missing stickers was only 1 Belgian Franc per
sticker and 15 Belgian Francs as to cover for the administration costs. In Spain you could order a maximum of thirthy cards for only 30 Pesetas, no administration costs. I guess for France the price was somewhere in the same amount. If only all trading card sets were so simple to complete.

The
colours are much brighter on the cards than the stickers, but that was 1979 and the sticker
set was actually created for the young ones among us, not the professional
collectors. As for the edges and the card cutting, the measurements
are reasonable, but the white border isn't exactly the same for all
the cards. This nice set is a must have for every serious Bond collector.
If you didn't manage to collect them all, here below you can enjoy
a full pictorial.
