Saturday 5th October 2002 was the 40th anniversary of the first James Bond movie “Dr. No”. As a runner-up to that special event, the new American based trading card manufacturer “Rittenhouse Archive Ltd” presents us with a “James Bond Limited Edition Preview Set” trading card set. This new card set exist of only six UV coated foil cards and was limited to only 2002 sets. The first card depicted the new 40th anniversary logo and a unique card set number. The other cards showed a colour still of one actor who played James Bond; Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton & Pierce Brosnan. The card reverse providing all the James Bond movie titles for the actor shown in the front. The cards were numbered from JB1 thru JB6.

“Rittenhouse Archive Ltd” is situated on 1254 Cox Road in Jenkintown, PA 19046. The Limited Edition Preview cards where packed in a very simple transparent wrapper. In contrary to the production limit, this small card set is reasonable cheap to acquire on eBay and other on-line retail shops. The “James Bond Limited Edition Preview Set” is the first set of James Bond trading cards in a very long series that will be produced by this new American company going by the name of “Rittenhouse Archives Ltd”.
The company was founded in 1999 by Steven M. Charendoff. “Rittenhouse Archives Ltd.” is highly specialised in science fiction and fantasy collector’s items, such as trading cards, audio cards, limited edition memorabilia, etc… Today the company holds more then a dozen licences, such as;
