Among all
the previous reviewed bubble gum cards, trading cards and sticker sets
their were many similar items manufactured all around the world. This
chapter will make you acquainted with some oddities that were manufactured
during the sixties, seventies, eighties etc...
“OK Bubblegum” a candy company located somewhere in Germany
manufactured during the sixties a series of black and white stills that
came from the first five James Bond movies. Also pictures of behind the screen are among the wrappers. The stills were printed on wax
paper, wrapped around a long small piece of sticky bubblegum and inserted
in an outside wrapper as shown here below. On the 14th of February 2010, three
"OK" stills were sold on eBay for the staggering price of
76 EURO. Happy Valentine.

Italy
knew many card manufactures, such as "Elah", "Movicolor", “Top Sellers Ltd.”
and “Panini”. In 1975 ”Top Sellers” produced
a magnificent sticker set known as the “SUPERSTARS”. The
stickers depicted full colour stills of the then known world famous
stars, the set was accompanied with a special designed collectors album
where you could stick your precious stickers inside. Shown here below is the front and reverse of sticker number 21 depicting a full
colour still of Sean Connery as James Bond in a scene of “Diamonds
Are Forever”, and a picture of Roger Moore during a pauze while filming "Live And Let Die". The reverse of the collectable sticker had a short
biography on the actor shown on the front.
Worldwide
there was and still is a variety of pictures, cards, stickers, etc…
they all came in many different sizes and formats. In many cases there
was even a collectors album available to protect and store your pictures.
A very world famous chocolate bar producer is “Jacques”,
the factory is located in Eupen, Belgium. Each chocolate bar was accompanied
by a small picture with themes like geography, history, air planes,
boats, singers, pop groups, actors and actresses. Here below some small
pictures originated in Sweden, you can recognize Sean Connery in a “From
Russia With Love” scene and Roger Moore in scene from “Ivanhoe”.
Also a sixties TV-card produced in Spain depicting a still of Sean Connery
as James Bond in "Thunderball". An eighties TV-card showing
Sean Connery in "Never Say Never Again" and a Cinema Classics
collector card. The last one originates in Spain and shows a picture
of Roger Moore in "Moonraker".

The
cards shown here below are manufactured in Spain, dated 1978.
Each card measures approximately 2" x 3". They are printed
on heavy card stock. The reverse features the name and number of the
card, as well as the name of the celebrity pictured and a brief paragraph
in Spanish. It seems there was also a Spanish card set for "The
Spy Who Loved me".

Costa
Rica, a beautiful country scattered with exotic landscapes issued a
great looking "Moonraker" trading card set. Some of the cards
fitted together like a jigsaw puzzle. The two cards printed here below
are the only ones that I have ever seen.

The cards shown here below are printed in Argentina, the card on the left and in the center display pictures from the James Bond movie "For Your Eyes Only". The card on the right shows Roger Moore in a scene from "Live And Let Die". Has anyone seen a complete set of these cards, if you do then please help me with some pictures of the other cards.

In
1983 and to coincide with the release of the 13th James Bond movie “Octopussy”
the UK based “Shredded Wheat”, a well known breakfast cereal
released eight large stickers each featuring special designed artwork
of “Octopussy”.You could also send in for a numbered "Code Card" and an Octopussy Badge. The stickers came in 3 different cereal boxes: 12, 18 and 27 count boxes with various backs, Circus, Train or Jungle.

As
a tie-in with the 1987’s James Bond movie “The Living Daylights”,
the UK based candy bar and sweets manufacturer “TRIO” issued
three different pages with action stickers. The page containing the
action stickers could be found inside a pack of six biscuits. Each page
was holding four little stickers. Today this unique sticker set is quiet
difficult to find and it scares the living daylights out of your pocket. The sticker size is 6,5 cm by 14,2 cm.
During
1998 the American based diecast toy manufacturer ”Johnny Lightning”
issued a set of ten never seen before James Bond related diecast cars
in a scale of 1/64. Each little car was accompanied with a trading card
designed by the well known trading card manufacturer “Inkworks”.
For each car they designed five different trading cards. Today these
cards are very hard to obtain for the simple reason that if you tried
to access the card or the car, you had to destroy it’s packaging.
There are not many collectors around that like to destroy the precious
packaging of a James Bond related toy. A few months later, the UK based
toy maker “Corgi” issued exactly the same diecast cars in
their Corgi Junior range together with exactly the same trading cards
that were issued by “Johnny Lightning”. The difference to
the cards was only the date and the companies name “Johnny Lightning”
or “Corgi”. Because of the brand name, the die-hard collectors
had to collect two times fifty cards. This first set of “Cars
& Cards” were related to the following James Bond movies;
“Dr. No”, “Goldfinger”, “Thunderball”,
“You Only Live Twice”, “On Her Majesty’s Secret
Service”, “Diamonds Are Forever”, “The Spy Who
Loved Me”, “For Your Eyes Only”, The Living Daylights”
and “GoldenEye”. The cards were numbered from 1 to 50 and
the reverse was issued with a small checklist.

During
the year 2000, Johnny Lightning issued another six cars & cards.
Again there were five cards for each car, the card numbering followed
the previous car & cards now starting from 51 thru 80. One error
slipped into the card set related to “A View To A Kill”,
card 68 shows Roger Moore in a “For Your Eyes Only” scene
where he is climbing one of the Meteora rocks in Greece. After that
they released another six car set accompanied with the original film
poster, and to coincide with the 40th Anniversary, Johnny Lightning
issued again twenty cards and cars, one car for each movie from “Dr.
No” thru “Die Another Day”. Each card depicted the
original film poster, lucky for the collectors they didn’t issue
each car with all the different posters from around the world. Also
some gift sets containing two or more cars complete with diorama were
manufactured, but all of these came without the cards. There’s
also a race car with a printed advertising for “Goldfinger”,
the car came with a black card depicting a golden 007 Gunlogo.
In
the late nineties the USA branch of Warner Home Video issued a set of
poster artwork cards, one given away with each DVD there has been a
number of similar offers with videos/ DVD’s in many countries,
some as web or high street shop exclusives, the cards on the whole feature
poster artwork and cast information on the reverse, some though have
featured reproduction stills as seen in cinema lobbies.
Another oddity came from Eastern Europe. “Hentyh”, a well-known
candy and chewing gum manufacturer based in the Ukraine issued
two James Bond collector boxes. No cards this time but a set of small stickers.
Inside the box you could find approximately 100 pieces of stuffy gum
surrounded with a small sticker. At first I only knew about seven different stickers, but more than a decade later, an American collector, Robert Lukaszyk discovered thirteen onther stickers. It looks like Vodka isn’t enough
for 007.
The
pictures displayed on the stickers were taken from several James Bond
movies. Just something to have is the beautiful designed counter display
box depicting artwork from the following movies: “Never Say Never
Again”, “The Man With The Golden Gun”, ”Licence
To Kill”, “From Russia With Love” and “The World
is Not Enough”. This collectors box was difficult to obtain in
the usual retail shops, lucky for the collectors that they were sold
for very economic prices on eBay. All by all this sticker set and it’s
counter display box is a very nice addition to any James Bond memorabilia
collection.

"Hentyh Counter Display Box"
To
continue their previous release of a box filled with gum and stickers
depicting stills from several James Bond movies, the Ukraine based company
“Hentyh” issues in 2006 a new sticker and gum box, this
time to tie-in with the latest and official EON version of “Casino
Royale”, the first James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig as secret
agent 007. Again the box contains 100 pieces of stuffy gum surrounded
with a small sticker. Again the counter display box is a real piece
of art displaying all the major actors from “Casino Royale”.
A nice addition to your James Bond memorabilia collection.

Here below you can see seven different wrappers. The wrapper was foulded around a piece of chewing gum together with the stickers. So all the stickers came out foulded. You can clearly see the sticker coming out in one of the unopened packs.

Not known
to everybody are the so called bootlegs, these are trading cards created
and produced by an individual. An internet shop by the name of "nikolaitradingcards"
produces trading cards on request. Here below are some samples from
that particular web shop.

In December 2013 Topps celebrated there 75th Anniversary with a new card set. Since 1938, Topps has existed, first as a chewing gum company. Then, in 1947 Bazooka arrived and then in 1949 so did its cardboard. This one will take a look back at more than 100 classic card sets from the past with some new inclusions, too.
Each 24-pack box will include three autographs and one stamped buyback card for about $100 when it arrives on 11 December 2013. The autographs will be from more than 20 iconic people from past Topps sets. The autographs will have Rainbow and Diamond versions limited to 75 and 10 copies a piece, while the buybacks will be stamped with a Topps 75 logo. There also will be a selection of cut autos in the product as well as autographed buyback cards.
The standard set will consist of 100 cards each with three parallels (Rainbow foil, a Diamond version limited to 75 copies and “modern gloss”) and 1/1 printing plates. In addition there will be eight mini cards and eight test issue cards among the offerings.
Among the signers are Roger Moore (James Bond), Richard Kiel (Moonraker), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), Corey Feldman (The Goonies), Lou Ferrigno (Incredible Hulk), Ed Gale (Howard The Duck) and Joyce DeWitt (Three’s Company) to name a few.
Each box holds 24 packs with 8 cards. There are 3 autographs, 1 Stamped Buyback and 24 Parallels per box for a total of 192 cards.

A few years after, they celebrated again with the 2018 Topps 80th Anniversary Wrapper Art set. A base set of 114 cards and checklist. A nice look into Topps history. The 1979 James Bond Moonraker Wrapper is a part of the base set.

In the sixties people also collected matchboxes, even today these are still collected."Vlinder", a Dutch matchbox company issued a series with filmstars. Here below Roger Moore and Sean Connery.
In 2015 Panini from the USA released a card set were you could find a double relic card of Roger Moore. See pictures here below.

There are
many other odd items out there perhaps as single cards or stickers produced
in very limited quantities or given away at cinemas and in high street
stores during a films release. On the whole these are used to advertise
tie in products, most of these items are very rare and now nearly impossible
to find, but thanks to places like eBay, one lives in the hope of a
rare item popping up. Here below a picture of Sean Connery as James
Bond in "Goldfinger" on a very rare card with an embedded
Lincoln one Cent coin.
